Timbits Learn To Play Program

At Bow Valley, we start off each Timbits season with the Timbits Learn to Play Program. This unique program provides the opportunity to 1st year players to gain some experience through four on ice sessions that are conducted by Sr. Timbits Coaches. These sessions provide 1st year players an insight into what Timbits hockey is all about. During each ice session, 1st year coaches are mentored by Sr. Timbit Coaches as well as Bow Valley Mentors. This helps Bow Valley ensure that our 1st year Timbits Coaches have the confidence and skill set to successfully coach a Timbits team. Prior to the first ice time, BVHS holds a coaches meeting where coaches are provided some learning resources as well as given the practice plans for the four ice sessions. For the Timbits Learn to Play Ice sessions the Jr. and Sr. Timbits players are split up and put into equal groupings consisting of Jr. and Sr. Timbits players. The Timbits Learn to Play Program focuses on the FUNdamentals in a fun and inviting environment.
